Hi there congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you and for taking the time to stop by and take a look at my site. My name is Ali and I’d love to help you work towards a positive birthing experience.
I gave birth to Oliver in 2015 and pregnancy was everything I could have hoped for and more. I was excited about the birth and from a very early stage I knew I wanted to have the most natural birth possible so opted to use hypnobirthing.
I then went on to have my second son, Jack at home in 2018. A few years earlier and you would have heard a whole different story as the thought of child birth terrified me and yes I had been know to say how can it be natural I can’t go through that. Let alone consider the idea of giving birth at home.
I shocked a few people when I went on to have an extremely successful birth experience that was filled with laughter, eating sweets and drinking coconut water. I had an amazing belief that I was lying on a beach! When people ask me ‘do you forget the pain?’ I don’t think they quite believe me when I say I didn’t have pain and people either laugh or look shocked when I say I’ve had harder days at work! I just loved everything about pregnancy and I enjoyed my labour, I am truly blessed to be able to say ‘I’m a Mum’.
As women we have different experiences but I believe knowledge is power helping us to control a situation that can be, for some, extremely daunting. From my own experience this certainly helped me. Unfortunately as women we are surrounded with TV shows and films that portray birth as a very dramatic and negative experience. We all know people who love to tell a gory birth story to a pregnant women. Yes there are things that are totally out of our control during labour but I truly believe a calm Mum, encourages a calm labour which leads to a happy and calm baby. Hypnobirthing empowers you to make the right choices for you and ask the questions to achieve a birth that is right for you.
Being a hypnobirthing practitioner now allows me to help other women achieve a positive birth. I am proud to teach the KG Hypnobirthing course which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwifes. If you’d like me to be part of your amazing pregnancy journey I’d love to hear from you.
Ali was absolutely brilliant from start to finish we couldn’t have asked for a warmer or more welcoming support in the run up to giving birth. It was really empowering to learn about the principles of hypnobirthing and to see and hear positive birth stories, something which is pretty rare! Hypnobirthing took ‘the fear’ out of me completely, and even made me contemplate, and go through with a home birth. It’s so important for the partner to be involved too and I know how much Chris took away from the course. I couldn’t have done it without him and Hypnobirthing certainly helped him understand how he could support me through labour. Thank you for everything Ali, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Hi Ali I wanted to let you know that our little healthy boy arrived on Sunday weighting 8.5. I went into labour on Saturday evening and and only had gas and air for the last ten minutes! Plus I had no tearing. If I never met you I would of never been able to have a birth like that. You’re absolutely amazing and clearly destined to do this. A thousand thank yous can’t even say how grateful and blessed I am that we managed to work with you!
Attending your classes definitely helped me to feel properly prepared, and to be positive and relatively calm, so thanks again for your help.
Thank you for the sessions, they really helped me prepare for the birth and made me feel much more positive and in control.
We’d both like to thank you for the workshop on Saturday – we both enjoyed it but more importantly found it positive and reassuring.
It’s thanks to you and your guidance Ali that our daughter arrived so peacefully! Thank you so much again Ali for everything.
